Carbon and stainless steel, aluminum and alloy assemblies built to your drawings in our 700,000 square foot Dansville, New York shop, then blasted, coated and installed by our own crews.
Custom metal fabrication covers the pieces a project cannot buy off the shelf: platforms, supports, racks, tanks, skids and pipe assemblies, each made to a drawing and a specification. LMC Industrial Contractors, founded in 1982, fabricates them on 88 acres in Dansville, New York, and the crews that install the work are ours as well.
Where a scope is heavier in one discipline, it has its own page: structural steel fabrication and erection, carbon and stainless pipe spools, and industrial fabrication services including locomotive and rail car work.
Built in carbon and stainless steel, aluminum and alloy metals.
Our fabrication facility has 700,000 square feet of covered space on 88 acres in Dansville, New York, served by the Rochester & Southern short line railroad.
An AWS QC1-certified inspector and our quality assurance manuals cover compliance. LMC holds an intermediate bridge certification with a fracture critical endorsement and is in the process of obtaining a Major Bridge Certification.
Rail car and locomotive work runs through American Motive Power, housed inside our facility: AAR M-1003 certified, with AWS D15.1 certified welders and PTC-certified electricians.
Mechanical detailing, fabrication, blast and coating, shipping and installation are all handled by LMC. Our industrial rigging and millwright crews set the equipment our shop builds the supports for, and our mechanical group ties in the piping. If a custom piece needs correcting in the field, it is corrected by the company that built it.
Oil and gas: natural gas compressor stations, meter and regulator stations, modular process skids, pipe supports and clamps.
Power generation and data centers: data center skids, access platforms and walkways, and structural steel frame supports. Our crews also set turbine skids, gas coolers and generators once they arrive on site.
Infrastructure and rail: bridge steel, highway gantries and pedestrian bridges.
Structural steel fabrication is one category inside custom fabrication: beams, columns, girders and trusses built to a drawing. Custom fabrication also covers platforms, supports, racks, tanks, skids and pipe assemblies, in carbon and stainless steel, aluminum and alloy metals.
