American Rock Salt – Salt Car Modifications

High Level Overview: American Rock Salt Railcar Conversion Project consist of converting 400+ railcars from a 3-manhole style roof, into a 31’ trough roof. The project entails demolition of the current roof, fabrication and installation of the new trough roof. Upon completion of the installation phase, the railcar roofs and hopper insides get blasted, and then painted or lined respectively. This project will aide in updating, and increasing American Rock Salt’s current railcar fleet over the next 2.5 years (Jan 2022 – ~ April 2024)
